What is micro needling?
Micro needling stimulates the production of collagen and encourages cell renewal. There are many benefits of needling. This service repairs damaged skin caused by, scarring, ageing or pigmentation – perfect for treating acne, wrinkles, congestion, stretch marks and sun damage.
Before starting needling treatment, we include a microdermabrasion facial to help reduce dryness post treatment. Then using a professional micro-needling pen, our qualified therapist will glide the pen over the surface of the skin while tiny, sterile needles puncture the skin, causing micro-damage, which encourages the body to heal and regrow new skin and encourages the production of collagen.
Who is it for?
Micro Needling is used for any person experiencing such skin conditions including ageing; pigmentation; scarring; acne; enlarged pores or stretch marks.
Post Treatment Care
Micro Needling is highly effective and can be done on almost any part of the body. Micro needling is fast healing with limited down time. Depending on the area treated will depend on how many treatments you may want/require but this will be discussed during your consultation. Usually for treating the face we recommend 3-6 sessions.
Because we provide a micro facial pre-needling, this decreases chances in skin shedding but you may experience some dryness after a couple days which is completely normal and can last roughly 2-3days. Around day 7 of post treatment you will start to see results.
To protect your skin from harmful UV rays, we encourage you to use SPF 50+ the following weeks after treatment. For the first 48 hours, we recommend avoiding excessive sun exposure, harsh chemicals/products, saunas and extreme exercise.
We recommend for the first 5 days to use Skinstitut: gentle cleanser, rejuvenate 15 and SPF 50+ which are have available in store or in the shop section of our site. After 5 days of healing, you may introduce other stronger products.
